This is the equation that shows black holes aren’t entirely black. Basically, due to quantum mechanics black holes will slowly emit radiation of quantum particles. This equation shows that the smaller a black hole is the faster it evaporates away, which is why we don’t have loads of tiny black holes scattered around the universe!
This is also one of the first working combinations of quantum physics and general relativity, while it isn’t a true a rectification it offers an understanding of how the two can work together.
