      Great question, with free healthcare whenever we need it it’s hard to imagine in wasn’t always like this but things used to be a lot harder. You had to pay to see a doctor so if you were rich you could get treated but if you didn’t have much money you might not be so lucky. There were some charities that might help or you could pay a monthly subscription to a hospital (a few pennies but that was a lot back then) so they would treat you if you got ill. Much tougher than today!
